Salesforce Project Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager & Scrum Master with a strong understanding of Salesforce (SF) and a background in software development. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment and can bridge the gap between business objectives and technical execution. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with deep technical knowledge, strong organizational skills, and a passion for delivering value through structured project management and Agile practices.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead end-to-end project planning, execution, and delivery across Salesforce implementations and enhancements.
- Manage scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and stakeholders.
- Ensure projects align with business goals and are delivered on time and within budget.
- Prepare and present project status reports, roadmaps, and executive updates.
- Manage vendor and partner relationships, if applicable.
Scrum Master
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Remove impediments to the team’s progress and ensure a healthy Agile environment.
- Coach and mentor the team on Agile/Scrum best practices and principles.
- Track and report key Agile metrics (velocity, burndown charts, etc.).
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Technical Understanding (Salesforce Focus)
- Collaborate effectively with Salesforce architects, developers, and admins to ensure alignment between technical solutions and business requirements.
- Use past experience as a Salesforce developer to understand and challenge technical designs and estimates.
- Support backlog grooming and solutioning with an understanding of Salesforce capabilities (e.g., Apex, Lightning, Flows, Integrations).
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in IT project management and Agile/Scrum roles.
- Previous experience (3y+) as a Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce Developer.
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM) and/or PMP/PMI-ACP is a plus.
- Experience managing cross-functional Agile teams.
- Strong stakeholder communication and leadership skills.
- Comfortable working with distributed/global teams.
- Experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally).
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools (Gearset, Copado, etc.)
- Familiarity with Salesforce Data Cloud, Revenue Cloud, or other specialized clouds.
- Understanding of CI/CD practices and test automation frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
