Berlitz has partnered with StreamForce Solutions to implement a new SalesForce organization with CPQ, streamlining the Sales to Education Delivery process. Berlitz set the goal to create a streamlined system that would work for the global operation, providing the same system and structure to all locations of Berlitz training centers. Berlitz desired a Lead to Revenue operation, streamlining the enrollment and delivery process, and providing a single system for sales and lesson delivery.

The Challenge
- Complex Product Catalog with large product list.
- Enrollment process required multiple systems, data entry into multiple programs, and heavy employment costs.
- Scheduling process required multiple employees, manual data entry into multiple systems.
- No ability for the students to see their progress or communicate with Berlitz without calling.
- No ability for the teachers to communicate directly with students outside of classes or provide status updates.
- No standardized processes for taxes, payment gateways, and no integrations for the various number of systems.
The Solution
- Developed a Revenue Cloud Sales Solution to minimize the product list and allow pricing via configuration options.
- Developed an automated enrollment process that enrolls students into programs upon a successful closed/won opportunity.
- Created a custom Scheduling process to schedule programs with minimal effort.
- Created a custom Learner Portal, allowing learners to view and maintain their schedule, see instructor profiles, schedule meetings with Sales Personnel, create support cases, communicate with their instructor, and receive certificate updates.
- Created a custom Teacher Portal, allowing teachers to view and maintain their schedule, see student profiles, communicate with their students, and enter progress pedagogy records.
- Integrated Salesforce with DocuSign, Avalara AvaTax, Stripe, NetSuite, and custom teaching solutions developed for Berlitz to streamline the education process.
The Outcome
- Reduced the language product list to just 3 products, and reduced the sales process to a filtered list of materials to associate with the products based on the configuration options of the language courses.
- Removed the manual data entry to enroll the learners into programs entirely via use of flows and automation.
- Streamlined the Scheduling process for programs, reducing the overhead needs and simplifying the process by showing instructor availability.
- Created a one-stop Learner’s portal for all course related activities, including workbook downloads, scheduling maintenance, payments, and communication.
- Created a one-stop Instructor’s portal for all courses they are instructing, including progress tracking, scheduling maintenance and communication.
- Integrations created an automated tax calculation, payment gateway, and custom education system removed the needs for manual data entry and improved data reliability.
